Remember Grandpa’s Attic and all the interesting surprises found in it?
Well, we’ve been asked to explore Grandpa’s attic again!
The Catoctones will be taking our show on the road to Wardensville, West Virginia on April 27th. Each year, the Wardensville Lions Club offers their “Parade of Quartets” fundraiser – and this year they’ve asked Frederick’s voices to join the fun!
East Hardy High School will ring with the songs and memories of fifty years of barbershop singing in the mid-Atlantic. Jacob Brown will once be diving into the attic to dig out all of the relics that Grandpa (Frank Kirschner) has squirreled away from his time on the risers.
The show features audience-pleasers from Billy Joel’s serene “Lullaby,” to the showstopping dance number “New York, New York!”
Quartets King’s Chorders, Sudo Vox and Chordians of the Galaxy will each bring their unique stylings to the stage, filling the evening with family-friendly entertainment.
And what would a performance in West Virginia be like without “Take me Home Country Roads,” – a new piece the chorus has been dilligently working on and will premiere in the Mountain State! We’ll also be previewing the songs headed to this year’s district contest: “After you’ve Gone” and “The Masquerade is Over.”
